At BlueFox Accounting, our commitment to the local community is deeply rooted in our history and values. Our founder, Dan Burnell, began his career as a school leaver who benefited from an accounting apprenticeship. This experience not only shaped his professional journey but also instilled in him a passion for supporting the next generation of professionals.

Recently, we had the privilege of participating in The Sixth Form Bolton’s Mock Assessment Centre, an initiative designed to prepare students for the rigorous recruitment processes associated with degree apprenticeships. Alongside esteemed organisations such as Bolton Council and First Response Finance, we facilitated assessment stations that simulated real-world scenarios, evaluating students on essential soft skills including problem-solving, decision-making, time management, and creativity.

Engaging with these bright, motivated students was a rewarding experience. We were impressed by their enthusiasm, creativity, and professionalism throughout the exercises. It’s evident that programs like the Apprenticeship Academy play a crucial role in equipping young individuals with the skills and confidence needed to excel in their future careers.

At BlueFox Accounting, we believe in the transformative power of apprenticeships. They offer invaluable hands-on experience and mentorship that pave the way for successful careers. By collaborating with local colleges and participating in initiatives like the Mock Assessment Centre, we aim to give back to the community that has supported us and to help prepare young people for the opportunities and challenges of the professional world.

We are committed to continuing our support for local educational institutions and fostering the development of future professionals. By sharing our expertise and resources, we hope to inspire and guide students as they embark on their career journeys, just as Dan Burnell was guided at the start of his.
